We’ll be taking this First Friday off but we hope to see you downtown! We’re still offering out 5% discount from 4-6pm!

Game Night Friday, January 13th, 5 to 7pm

IMG_0384Join us for our monthly Game Night event upstairs at the Co-op! Play a round of Co-opoly, Scrabble, Pictionary, or play your favorite card game. Feel free to bring your own game to share! Light refreshments provided! Age 18+. Please call ahead in the event of inclement weather.

Board of Directors: Comunnity Forum  Tuesday, January 17th, 6pm


Upper Valley Food Co-op is hosting a quarterly Community Forum. Join us as we discuss relevant topics in our Co-op Community. Our theme for the month of January is to discuss The Role of Co-ops in our Local Community. Meet with Board Members, the General Manager and other members to learn and discuss all things Co-op! Anyone is welcome to attend this community discussion located upstairs in the Co-op’s classroom. Light refreshments will be offered.

The Power in Your Hands  Wednesday, January 18th, 10am-11am

heart-handsJoin Frances McManus in this workshop series to practice healing through your hands. Discover and Experience Yoga for your hands, in this 3 part class. Registration required. Wear loose comfortable clothing. Members $15, Non-members $20 (price is for all three lessons) Workshop continues on Wednesdays with the same start time: February 1st, February 15th

Creative Living Series: Talkin’ Trash with Olivia Lapierre  Thursday, January 19th, 6pm

img_1434Define a “Zero Waste Lifestyle” with Olivia. Olivia will speak of the benefits to this sustainable lifestyle and how it can be done with small and simple changes to reduce your footprint. Create your own vegan, waste-free and toxic-free toothpaste! Join us for this special event and be inspired to incorporate new sustainable practices in your daily life! Registration required. Follow our Creative Living Series monthly. Join Olivia again for another Talkin’ Trash workshop Thursday, February 16th, at 6pm. Delve further into Zero Waste Living and create your own deodorant. Come to one or come to both either way we hope to see you there!

Member Library

Member Library with SignThe Member Library is a collection of donated and gathered books and DVDs on topics related to Food and Alternative Living. It is located upstairs in the Classroom. The Library is open to the Upper Valley community during Library Open Hours. Visitors are welcome to sit and enjoy the books, and Library members may check out books. Talk to the Librarian on staff during open hours to find out how to become a Library member. Look at our open hours schedule to find a time that works best for you!

Winter Wildlife Celebration – For Children of All Ages
All activities included with admission to VINS Nature Center 
Saturday, January 14th, 10am-4pm                   

VINS-logo_0Celebrate the wildlife of winter at the VINS Nature Center with a fun-filled day of family activities! In the morning, join our knowledgeable educators to explore our exhibits and trails with interactive guided tours and talks. The celebration continues in the afternoon with outdoor and indoor games, crafts, and activities that challenge visitors of all ages in their winter adaptation skills. Finish the day by a warm campfire and enjoy some yummy refreshments. Snow or no, it’s sure to be a great way to discover the wonders of wildlife in winter!
