Some prior sewing experience is strongly suggested for our Pattern Making classes but not necessary to register. Materials will be provided. While our Pattern Making classes can be taken in any order, it is best that you take them in the following order: Custom Fitted Skirt, Custom Fitted Bodice, and Bodice Design Modification. In between each class is a recommended Open Hour Session to assist in converting your paper patterns into a workable fabric pattern. If all three Pattern Making classes are taken, participants will come away with a basic dress pattern to fit your unique body shape. The pattern you create is referred to as a dress ‘sloper’ and can be used as a starting point of all dress designs.
