Garden Workshop: Buggin’ Out: Garden Insects 101

Cat Buxton loves to talk about weeds and bugs, both beneficial and pests. Learn the difference, how to identify them, and about systems you can put in place to foster an environment to support a balanced diversity of their populations in your yard and garden without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Topics include: identifying common garden pests and beneficial insects, organic controls, responsible integrated pest management, microbes.

Cat Buxton is a consultant and teacher from Sharon, VT promoting food system change through education and advocacy. Her website is growmorewasteless.com.

This garden workshop is Free and open to the Upper Valley Community.

Workshop takes place at the Community Garden next to Ratcliffe Park on Latham Works Lane.

For classes that require registration:Registration closes 48 hours prior to the start of class. If a class does not meet the minimum level of participants before the 48 hour window the class will be cancelled. Full refunds will be given if the class is cancelled on behalf of the Co-op.

*Please note that registration for Kid’s classes and Teens in adult classes is pending completion of registration form that coincides with payment of class.
