Stop by the Co-op to kick off your First Friday and then continue with the festivities downtown. Enjoy tasty bites from Little MsFit and local cheese from our cheese case. Get creative with fruit and veggie stamp art paired with local samples. As always, receive 5% off from 4-6pm and enter our FREE raffle!
Fermentation Tuesday, September 5, from 6-8pm
Meet with Karen Ganey at the White River Community Garden as she covers all the benefits of food storage and preservation using Fermenting techniques. Discuss the best methods for harvesting and utilizing fall crops such as kale, cabbage, carrots, Brussels sprouts, and more. Help prepare a crock of lactic fermented vegetables. Bring a jar to take home your fermented goods! This is a free workshop taking place at the WRJ Community Garden on Latham Works Lane. This workshop is open to anyone in the Upper Valley! Power in Your Hands Wednesdays, September 20th, October 4th and 18th, evenings 6-7pm
Enjoy relaxation methods from Frances McManus in this workshop series to practice healing through your hands. Discover and Experience Yoga for your hands, in this 3 part class covering mudras for digestion, relaxing the nervous system, strengthening and opening the heart all with your hands. One hour class. Ages 18+ Wear loose comfortable clothing. Members $15, Non-members $20 (price is for all three lessons). Registration Required. Register and pay online at: here. Mushroom Walk Sunday, September 24th, 1-4pm
Join Faith Hunt in a search for the perfect mushroom! Meet outside at UVFC to carpool to Faith’s destination of choice. Faith says bring your own mushroom for her to help you identify. Come back to the Co-op for a quick cook and tasting upstairs in the Co-op’s Classroom! Bring a knife and a basket for collection. Registration required. Workshop costs $10 for UVFC member/ $15 for UVFC non-members. Register online on here. Please note that this workshop may be cancelled due to poor mushroom growing conditions. Full refunds will be given in the event of cancellation on the Co-op’s behalf. Participants can try to register for the following Mushroom walk on October 15th provided there are still tickets left. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
UVFC Board Meeting Tuesday, September 26th, 6pm. Open to all Co-op members.
The Member Library is a collection of donated and gathered books and DVDs on topics related to Food and Alternative Living. It is located upstairs in the Classroom. The Library is open to the Upper Valley community during Library Open Hours. Visitors are welcome to sit and enjoy the books, and Library members may check out books. Talk to the Librarian on staff during open hours to find out how to become a Library member. Have a look at our Open Hours to find a time that works best for you!

2nd Annual Kid Stuff Family FunFest.
